Friday, Mick and I said good bye to Tim and Roger as they headed in the van back to Texas. Roger will then get a flight back to NC. We hate to see them go. We’ve had some bike challenges with mechanical issues, but we’ve had a great time being together.
Roger and Tim pulled out of Colorado Springs about 11:00. At 12:00, my brother, Bruce, and my Dad, Dale, arrive at the RV park we had stayed at the night before. Bruce and my Dad live in Denver, and we will be with them for the weekend.
We ate a big lunch at a Sweet Tomatoes in south Denver about 2:00. For the rest of the afternoon we did wash and got a few supplies for the road the following week. Dad gave us his pick up for our errands.
It is great to be off the bike. For the weekend Linda (my sister-in-law) has prepared food, food, food. And we put it down!!
As the weekend before in Durango, it’s great to be in a bed. And have a long hot shower.
Friday night Bruce took us along with my Dad to Daniel’s Park in the Highlands Ranch area where we watched the sunset behind the mountains. It was an awesome view.
Sabbath, (Saturday) we enjoyed the small group fellowship time and the worship service which followed at the Littleton SDA Church. Then for lunch – more food. Friends of Bruce and Linda’s (Norm and Kathy along with Cheryl and grandkids) were a part of the afternoon.
Tomorrow we are back on the bikes heading east.
Thank you Bruce, Linda, Dad – it was wonderful to be with you!!
