Fog Will Lift
Mitch, David and I rode mountain bikes at Annadel State Park on a cool, foggy July morning near Santa Rosa, CA. Did I say cool? No, it was cold! For July. We could have waited 'til the fog burned off. Stayed inside the house, the car. But no. We got out and pumped up hills navigating rocks. As our heart rates increased what felt cold initially was now pleasant. We had a great time talking and then enjoying the descents with more climbing. Then the fog burned off and we finished in the sunshine. Cardio workout completed we now enjoyed the endorphins of exercise.
Push through the fog, or the discomfort of life. The fog will lift. The sun will shine.

SpinViewShift - life through the lens of cycling
Spin: in cycling spinning is pedaling. It's the action of the legs, lungs, and heart enabling movement, a trip, a journey, a jaunt, an adventure. Spinning takes you from here to there. Down hills and up. On the flats. In groups of other cyclists. On a quiet country road. To the store to get an item. It's the commute to work.
View: what greets the eye, the ear on the ride. It's the smell of pastries from the bakery. Or exhaust. The cool breeze. The drizzle. Or downpour. The traffic ahead. The pothole. The ease of draft when riding in a pack. The vista from a mountain road. Spin makes View possible.
Shift: perspectives, thoughts, ideas resulting from Spin and View. Yep. What I thought before - that's right. Or. . . wait. I never realized that . . . now I see . . . Shift is staying in the same gear of life because it's the right gear and works well. Or, it's changing gears. Shift can make the hills less strenuous. Shift enables stability on descents. Shift can take the stress off your knees and preserve your energy.
SpinViewShift. Welcome. Join me for the ride. For the adventure.
